MISSION<\/h2>\n

Welcome to the vibrant world of Sabbath School, a cornerstone department within the Trans-Orange Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. As the primary religious educational resource for our global community, our mission is clear: to provide a dynamic system of local church religious education that fosters faith, practice, and discipleship among our members. Rooted in the teachings of the Bible and the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sabbath School is dedicated to spiritual development and community engagement.<\/p>\n

At the heart of Sabbath School is a commitment to building faith through the study of Scriptures and our church’s doctrines. Through in-depth exploration and discussion, we aim to deepen the spiritual roots of our members, nurturing a robust foundation in the timeless truths found in the Bible and the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.<\/p>\n

Equally important is our focus on practical application. We believe in integrating biblical principles and the teachings of our faith into the daily lives of Sabbath School members. This hands-on approach ensures that the lessons learned during Sabbath School sessions actively shape how individuals live out their faith in their communities.<\/p>\n

OBJECTIVE<\/h2>\n

The Sabbath School has four specific objectives:<\/p>\n

Study Of The Word<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sabbath School will help the students understand the gospel and make a personal commitment to it.\u00a0 This it will do by engaging students into the study of the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy through the use of Bible Study Guides.<\/em>\u00a0 This will help students grow spiritually.\u00a0 Sabbath School will also help students develop a prayer program and teach them how to interpret and apply the principles of the Bible to their lives.<\/p>\n

Fellowship<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sabbath School will promote fellowship among members in the weekly Sabbath School program, develop projects for recruiting new members and integrating them into church life, and find ways of restoring inactive members.<\/p>\n

\n

Community Outreach<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sabbath School will help its members catch a vision of the church\u2019s mission in the community, train them for service, and inspire them to witness.\u00a0 The school will develop programs to involve its students in soul-winning activities.<\/p>\n

World Mission Emphasis<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Sabbath School will present a clear vision of the global mission of the church.\u00a0 It will promote a personal, systematic, and self-denying commitment to the support of world missions, and foster in all members a desire to help fulfill the gospel commission.<\/p>\n

SABBATH SCHOOL ALIVE<\/h3>\n

Sabbath School Alive! is the new approach to Sabbath School programming.\u00a0 Sabbath School is the heart of the church!\u00a0 It is a common thread that helps bind together members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church around the world.\u00a0 The Sabbath School Alive! initiative highlights three vital components of thriving Sabbath Schools:<\/p>\n

  1. Bible Study & Prayer<\/strong> \u2013 discover the power of Bible study and prayer in Sabbath School<\/li>\n
  2. Fellowship<\/strong> \u2013 experience the joy of fellowship through study and service in Sabbath School<\/li>\n
  3. Mission<\/strong> \u2013 gain world mission education and community outreach training in Sabbath School<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The power of Sabbath School is that it follows the divine model for true discipleship \u2013 Bible study and prayer, fellowship, and mission.\u00a0 Sabbath School Alive! is a worldwide initiative of the General Conference Sabbath School department helping local churches to rediscover the power and purpose of Sabbath School.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe influence growing out of Sabbath School work should improve and enlarge the church\u201d (Counsels on Sabbath School Work, p. 9).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u201cThe Sabbath School, if rightly conducted, is one of God\u2019s great instrumentalities to bring souls to a knowledge of the truth \u2026 (Counsels on Sabbath School Work, p. 115).<\/p>\n
